Rhinoplasty
Nasal reshaping or rhinoplasty can result in a big improvement in overall facial harmony and a big boost to your confidence even with a small adjustment. As your most prominent facial feature, a nose that is out of proportion or unbalanced with other features can negatively impact your self-image and self-esteem.
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), rhinoplasty was the second most popular procedure in 2005. Rhinoplasty is not only performed for strictly cosmetic reasons; rhinoplasty can correct structural abnormalities, like a deviated septum, which can lead to breathing problems, chronic stuffiness, post-nasal drip and even snoring. The goal of any rhinoplasty is a natural looking nose that functions properly.
Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Sanjay Grover believes the art of rhinoplasty involves more than merely making a smaller nose. Your nose needs to look natural and complement all your facial features, balancing size, width and angles. Cosmetic surgery on the nose is a very specialized procedure that focuses on improving disfiguring and subtle irregularities to give you a more aesthetically balanced nose with improved facial harmony.
Facelift
A facelift (technically known as a rhytidectomy) can reverse the signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift is rejuvenation surgery that now goes beyond just tightening skin. A modern facelift usually extends below the skin to address the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) by repositioning underlying facial muscles as well as reducing excess skin. A facelift may be performed by itself to address the lower third of the face and neck or it can be performed in conjunction with other procedures such as a endoscopic brow lift, eyelid surgery, mid face surgery, ear reshaping, or nose reshaping.
Gone are the expressionless, wind-tunneled looks of the past. Today, surgeons strive to give a natural, rejuvenated look with the least telltale signs of surgery as possible including Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Sanjay Grover. Today, many facelift options are appealing to many men and women of various ages and can be tailored to individual needs. Today, patients are presenting much younger in life, in their early 40s for a facelift, perhaps a short scar facelift, compared to patients in the past, in order to save them from a more drastic overhaul in their 50s and 60s.
The best candidate for a facelift is a man or woman whose face and neck has began to sag, but whose skin still has good elasticity and whose bone structure is strong and well-defined.
Endoscopic Browlift
A browlift, or forehead lift, is most commonly performed in the 40s through 60s; however, some patients in their early 30s may benefit from this procedure. A forehead lift restores a more youthful and rejuvenated look to the area above the eyes. This procedure will correct a droopy brow and can improve the furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired.
Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Grover utilizes the endoscopic, or minimally invasive, technique to perform a browlift thus minimizing your downtime and discomfort. Absorbable “tacks” are used to help suspend the brow in its newly elevated position until it has healed in its newer, higher position. The incisions are each about 2cm in length and are all kept hidden within the hair.
Eyelid Surgery
Upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, canthoplasty and canthopexy are procedures performed to obtain periorbital rejuvenation and improve ones tired appearing look. Many factors contribute to the aged appearance of the eyes. Upper eyelids can lose their shape over time and become droopy hiding the natural arch of alert expression. One may lose the crisp upper eyelid crease associated with youth. To correct a sagging upper eyelid, incisions are made where the natural arch and crease of your eye will be. Through this incision, skin, muscle and fat may be removed to create a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.
Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Grover utilizes many techniques that are available to create a rejuvenated or youthful look of the lower eyelids. The technique chosen will depend on whether there is loose, excess lower eyelid skin and muscle or only prominent lower eyelid fat. Incisions may be placed under the lower eyelid eyelashes or within the underside of the lower eyelid thus without leaving any visible scars. After contouring fat, either by excision or redraping, the loose muscular sling around the eye may be tightened and loose, excess skin may be conservatively removed.

DermaSweep
DermaSweep is a microdermabrasion system that eliminates the messy and painful crystals often used by alternative systems to remove dead skin. The device features a variable level vacuum pump that gently lifts the skin surface as it “sweeps away” the dead layer of skin in a precise and controlled manner.
Botox
Botox®, or botulinum toxin, is used to soften or temporarily eliminate dynamic wrinkles that are caused by contraction of facial muscles. This will help prevent wrinkles from “setting in” permanently. By eliminating “worry lines”, “frown lines” and “crow’s feet” one will appear rejuvenated and less angry. Botox® may also be used to treat “smokers’ lines” as well as lines and bands in the neck.
